Events

Is your organization hosting an event that Lake Tahoe visitors would be interested in? Whether it’s a festival, concert, wine tasting, tour, or farmers’ market, any local business can suggest an event to be added to the Events calendar. Use the Event Submission form to tell us about your event and why a visitor would want to add it to their itinerary. If it’s a good fit, our team will add it to the website and can incorporate into promotion. For questions or support with events, reach out to [email protected].

Deals

With costs often being a factor in the decision to travel, visitors love deals. Local establishments can use their “Member” access to the WordPress to add or update deals, which are added to the Deals section of the website. Encourage hotel stays with special holiday packages, promote weekly specials, as well as share seasonal discounts and savings. We’d love to help you spread the word. For questions or requested deal updates, send an email to [email protected].

Assets

The Marketing Cooperative is always looking for new assets in the form of photos or video to supplement business listings, webpages, social posts and collateral to reflect the beauty and authenticity of the region. If you have assets you’d like to share with us for purposes of marketing the destination or your business, or have a suggestion to capture content, let’s chat. Please email [email protected].

North Lake Tahoe Visitor Guide

Every year, the Marketing Cooperative puts together the North Lake Tahoe Visitor Guide, which is then shared across a variety of businesses and lodging properties to provide essential travel information, sample itineraries and recommendations for where to play, stay and dine across all four seasons. There are currently 40K copies distributed lakewide. You can view the current Visitor Guide digitally or request that a physical copy is mailed to you here. Press Trips

Our North Lake Tahoe PR team works diligently to source, vet and invite top-tier media contacts to experience the destination first-hand through a press trip. A press trip is designed for traditional media, social media influencers and bloggers to learn about a destination. There are many benefits to our partners who work with us to host media, including:

Increased Exposure: Press trips provide an opportunity to showcase North Lake Tahoe to a targeted audience who can influence potential customers and future travelers. Often, media will include mention of the partners they interact with or are hosted by in their post-trip articles or social media posts.

Traditional and Social Media Coverage: Journalists and influencers can generate valuable content and publicity.

Highlighted Coverage

Press trips also help us create and foster long-lasting relationships with selected publications. Oftentimes, the media we work with find ways to include mention of North Lake Tahoe and partners in their work far beyond the completion of their trip. Once people have that personal experience with the destination, it often stays top of mind and benefits us for years to come. Take a look at some examples of coverage received as a result of past press trips:

  1. A place of such sublime beauty – The Australian
  2. These Are Our Favorite Places to Visit for Spring Break – AFAR
  3. Plan Your Next Ski Getaway in North Lake Tahoe, California – Texas Lifestyle Magazine
