Watch the sun cast a purple alpenglow onto the Sierra while trekking through Tahoe’s peaceful forest. Experience the solitude of winter at this special time of day while learning local natural and human history. Offered every Friday, or via custom arrangement with four or more guests. Tour time varies. No experience necessary. Trailheads are based on snow pack and the group’s activity level. Tour includes snowshoes, poles, knowledgeable guides, natural and human history discussions, trail snacks, hot drinks, and permit fees.

Group Sunset Snowshoe Tours are scheduled every Friday but can be booked any day of the week with a minimum of 4 people. If you are a single traveler, please call to see if there is a group to join! Tour times will vary and depend on time of sunset.
