10th Annual Keep Tahoe Red, White and Blue Beach Cleanup

After Tahoe’s celebrated July 4th festivities, our beaches can become covered with trash, endangering wildlife and the Lake’s clarity. Each year on July 5th, Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for the largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from Lake Tahoe’s shores. You can help Keep Tahoe Blue by volunteering at one of six beach cleanup sites around the Lake!
Registration: Sign up or log in to your Volunteer Account. Respond to one of the meeting locations linked below to register.You will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. Final details will be sent the week of the event. Walk-ins are also welcome on July 5th! If you do not pre-register, you will need to complete a volunteer waiver onsite when during event check-in.
Locations: Choose a meeting location below. We will be cleaning the surrounding area.
Be sure to bring:
- Full reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Cleanup gloves (if you have them)
- Hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothing, and shoes
- Any snacks you would like
- Follow current CDC Covid guidelines
We provide:
- Cleanup materials (gloves, bags, etc.)
- Gloves and hand sanitizer
- Refreshments
- Cool giveaways

Final details will be sent a few days prior to the event date to registered volunteers.
Volunteers under 13 will need to have a guardian sign the waiver and the volunteer must bring the signed waiver to the event. The guardian may also attend the event and can sign off for the minor at the event.
