From towering granite mountains with steep terrain and deep snowpack to crystal clear waters and sandy shorelines, North Lake Tahoe’s world-class environment is stunning in all four seasons. It is made up of 12 unique towns against a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada and surrounds Lake Tahoe, one of the world’s purest lakes and largest alpine lake in North America. North Lake Tahoe spans two states, California and Nevada, and offers a multitude of activities from athletic to relaxing to romantic, plus lodging that is ideal for any length of stay or budget.

North Lake Tahoe is a year-round destination that inspires both awe and activity in nature’s beautiful setting. There are hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, dozens of beaches, world-renowned downhill and Nordic skiing, snow sports of all kinds, and 39 trillion gallons of water to enjoy. Many nationally recognized Lake Tahoe events including music festivals, concerts, food pairings and sporting events take place each season.

DESTINATION MARKETING
AND MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (DMMO)

North Lake Tahoe is a DMMO encompassing both the California and Nevada sides of the region and is operated through a cooperative of two organizations: North Tahoe Community Alliance and the Travel North Tahoe Nevada. Both organizations enhance North Lake Tahoe’s vibrancy and visibility by advocating for a sustainable year-round economy, building midweek and shoulder season visitation, supporting transportation and workforce housing solutions, sponsoring business education and providing visitor information services. North Tahoe Community Alliance

This non-profit organization supports efforts on the California side of the region. Its mission is to promote and manage visitation to achieve economic health, community vitality, and environmental sustainability to benefit residents, businesses and visitors.

TRAVEL NORTH TAHOE NEVADA

This public organization represents Incline Village and Crystal Bay on the Nevada side of North Lake Tahoe. Its mission is to encourage destination experiences that support a vibrant economy, enhance community character and foster environmental stewardship.
