Snowmobiling

Mount a sled and venture into the depths of North Lake Tahoe’s wilderness with the wind in your face and your hands on the throttle. Be sure to follow all posted signs that detail private property and wilderness boundaries, and please do not chase wildlife. Check out the list of snowmobile rental and tour outfits, as well as directions to trails you can explore on your own.

NOTE: The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association suggests that you use a Topo Map and GPS if you are not familiar with the riding areas. Topo Maps are available at the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce Visitors Information Center, 245 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA.
